How far is Alpine Village from BYU by bike or car?

Alpine Village is approximately 0.7 miles from BYU’s Tanner Building. It’s about a 4-minute drive or a 6-minute bike ride from the community, so getting to campus is quick and easy.

What public transportation is available near Alpine Village?

Alpine Village has an on-site UTA bus stop, so it’s easy to get to BYU, UVU, and other spots throughout Utah Valley. UTA Route 831 runs along Freedom Boulevard and serves BYU South Campus, and UVX offers more connections between BYU, UVU, Orem, and Provo.

What restaurants are near Alpine Village?

You’ll find plenty of restaurants and quick bites along Freedom Boulevard. Protein House, at 1364 N. Freedom Boulevard, is essentially next door. Other nearby favorites include Taco Bell, Lighthouse Donut, Coffee, & Dessert Co., and Tandoor Indian Cuisine – Provo. Alpine Village also has ground-floor retail space with more shops and dining right on site.

Absolutely. Alpine Village is built around student community and social life. It’s just one block from BYU, so staying connected to campus is easy. Amenities like the clubhouse, basketball and foursquare courts, pool, hot tub, and resident events give you lots of chances to meet neighbors and hang out outside of class.

What floor plans are available at Alpine Village?

Alpine Village offers furnished 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartments with both private and shared bedroom options. Floor plan choices include the standard Private Room, 5th Floor Premium, End Cap Unit, and Shared Floor Plan. Standard private and shared layouts are approximately 1,100 square feet, and End Cap units have larger bedrooms and walk-in closets. You can compare every layout on our floor plans page.

Does Alpine Village offer private bedrooms and private bathrooms?

Alpine Village offers private bedrooms, but the floor plans don’t include private bathrooms. Private-room residents share a bathroom with one other person, and each bathroom has a double vanity.

Does Alpine Village offer shared bedrooms?

Yes! Alpine Village offers a Shared Floor Plan where two residents share a bedroom. The 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment is approximately 1,100 square feet and has a shared double-vanity bathroom.

Is pricing at Alpine Village per person or per apartment?

Pricing at Alpine Village is per person. Everyone signs an individual lease, so you’re only responsible for your own rent, not your roommates’.

Does Alpine Village offer individual leases by the bed?

Yes. Alpine Village offers individual leases, so each resident signs for their own space, whether that’s a private bedroom or a spot in a shared bedroom. You’re only responsible for your own lease, not your roommates’.

How much does it cost to live at Alpine Village?

Pricing depends on your room type. Shared rooms are the most affordable option, followed by standard private rooms, with 5th Floor Premium and End Cap units at the higher end. For the latest rates and availability, visit our floor plans page.

What utilities are included in rent at Alpine Village?

Utilities aren’t included in base rent. Alpine Village charges a bundled utility fee of $70 per month and a trash collection fee of $8 per month.

Is high-speed internet or Wi-Fi included in rent at Alpine Village?

High-speed internet is available in every Alpine Village apartment, but it isn’t included in base rent. A required technology/communications fee of $25 per month covers Wi-Fi and cable.

What lease terms does Alpine Village offer?

Alpine Village offers 12-month lease terms that begin and end in August.

When is rent due at Alpine Village?

You can pay rent in full at move-in or choose monthly payments. With monthly payments, rent is due on the 1st of each month. A $75 late fee applies to payments received on or after the 6th, and returned payments are subject to a $25 fee.

What are the move-in costs and fees at Alpine Village?

Before move-in, Alpine Village charges a $50 application fee, a $100 administrative fee, and a $350 security deposit, which comes to $500 in initial fees and deposit. You should also plan for required monthly charges for utilities, internet, trash collection, and credit reporting, plus renters insurance.

What amenities does Alpine Village offer?

Alpine Village has amenities designed for student living, including a resort-style pool, a massive hot tub, a 24-hour fitness center, a clubhouse, outdoor basketball and foursquare courts, BBQ grills, a complimentary fountain drink station, underground and reserved parking, on-site UTA bus stops, an Amazon Hub, controlled building access, on-site management and maintenance, and resident events throughout the year.

Does Alpine Village have in-unit or community laundry?

Every Alpine Village apartment has its own in-unit washer and dryer, so you can do laundry without leaving home.

Does Alpine Village have study rooms or quiet spaces for students?

Yes! The Alpine Village clubhouse is a great place to study, relax, or hang out with friends. It’s a comfortable shared space that’s open to all residents.

Does Alpine Village have bike storage?

Yes. Alpine Village offers secure bike storage in the parking garage, which is monitored by security cameras for extra peace of mind.

Is parking available at Alpine Village, and is it included in rent?

Yes, parking is available, including underground and reserved options, but it isn’t included in base rent. Underground parking is $60 per month and above-ground parking is $45 per month.

What security or controlled-access features does Alpine Village offer?

Alpine Village has controlled building access, so only authorized people can enter the residential areas. Each private bedroom is individually key-locked for extra privacy, and the on-site Amazon Hub keeps package deliveries secure.

Are there community events for residents at Alpine Village?

Definitely! Community is one of the best parts of living at Alpine Village. We host quarterly resident events, run giveaways throughout the year, and create plenty of chances for you to connect with your neighbors. How do I schedule an in-person or virtual tour of Alpine Village?

You can schedule an in-person tour online. If you can’t make it in person, take our virtual tour to explore the apartments and community from anywhere.

When should I apply for housing at Alpine Village for the upcoming school year?

Leasing for the next lease term typically opens about 9 months before the lease start date. That gives you plenty of time to plan ahead, and it’s best to apply early to get your pick of available spots.

What documents or information do I need to apply at Alpine Village?

When you apply at Alpine Village, you’ll need your Social Security number and a photo of a valid form of identification.

Is there an application fee at Alpine Village?

Yes. The application fee at Alpine Village is $50.

How long does the application and approval process take at Alpine Village?

Your lease can usually be fully completed within 24 hours of receiving your application. We recommend signing as early as possible, since earlier applications generally get access to the best available pricing.

Do you run credit and background checks, and what are the qualifying criteria at Alpine Village?

Yes. As part of the application process, Alpine Village runs credit, background, eviction history, and income verification checks. To qualify on your own, you’ll need a credit score of 650 or higher and income of at least three times the monthly rent. Residents also pay a $9.99 monthly credit reporting fee.

Does Alpine Village require a guarantor or co-signer for students without credit history?

A guarantor or co-signer may be required if you don’t meet Alpine Village’s qualification requirements on your own. Applicants need a credit score of 650 or higher and income of at least three times the rent.

Is renters' insurance required at Alpine Village?

Yes. Renters insurance is required at Alpine Village. Coverage is available through the community for $22 per month, or you can opt out of that charge by providing proof of your own qualifying policy.

When are move-in dates for fall, winter/spring, and summer at Alpine Village?

Alpine Village’s 12-month leases begin in August, but we can accommodate most move-in dates throughout the year, with the exception of some early move-ins in August. Contact our leasing office to find a move-in date that works for you.

What happens if I need to cancel my lease before moving in?

If your plans change, you can sell your lease to someone else. Alpine Village provides a simple step-by-step guide to help you through the process, and once you find someone to take over your lease, we’ll handle the rest. A lease transfer fee equal to 85% of one month’s rent applies.

Are apartments at Alpine Village furnished, and what's included?

Yes! Alpine Village apartments come fully furnished. Bedrooms include a bed, desk, and chair, and the common areas include a couch, kitchen table, and chairs. Each apartment also has kitchen appliances, including an electric stove and dishwasher, plus an in-unit washer and dryer.

What should I bring to my new apartment at Alpine Village?

Because Alpine Village apartments come furnished, you’ll mainly need your personal belongings and everyday essentials. Plan to bring bedding, toiletries, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, dishes, cleaning supplies, and anything else you’ll need for the school year.

Does Alpine Village offer roommate matching, and how do I request a specific roommate?

Yes! If you already know who you’d like to live with, just list your requested roommate on your application. If you don’t have someone in mind, you can fill out a questionnaire about your interests and lifestyle so we can match you with compatible roommates. You can also add roommates later, as long as the apartment isn’t full.

How are packages delivered, and where do I pick them up at Alpine Village?

Alpine Village has an on-site Amazon Hub where you can securely receive and pick up packages. Your deliveries stay safe instead of sitting outside your apartment door.

How do I submit a maintenance request at Alpine Village?

You can submit maintenance requests anytime through the resident portal. Alpine Village’s on-site maintenance team handles repairs quickly.

What is the guest parking and visitor policy at Alpine Village?

You’re welcome to have overnight guests for up to 3 days per calendar month, and daytime guests can visit as often as you’d like.

For guest parking, Utah Parking Authority lets you add a visitor permit to your account. Limited street parking is also available just north of the community.

What is the pet policy at Alpine Village?

Pets aren’t permitted at Alpine Village. Documented service animals and Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are exceptions, in line with applicable requirements.

What is the decorating policy at Alpine Village?

You’re welcome to make your apartment feel like home. Just be careful not to damage the walls or other surfaces. Damage that needs repair or repainting may be charged against your security deposit, with damage charges starting at $200 depending on the repair. If you’re not sure whether something is allowed, check with the Alpine Village management team first.

What is the move-out and lease renewal process at Alpine Village?

If you decide to renew, it takes less than five minutes, and it’s free! We’ll send you an updated lease for the next term, and you’ll just sign it online.

If you’re not renewing, we’ll send move-out instructions about two months before your lease ends. You’ll need to clean your apartment to a white-glove standard and remove all personal belongings before your lease end date. If more cleaning is needed, it will be billed to you, and unreturned or lost keys are subject to a $75 replacement fee.
